01

General

Yes, Inception Pools is fully licensed and insured to perform pool construction, renovation, and maintenance in the state of Ohio. We carry general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage for your protection.
Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely. We offer free, no-obligation consultations for all new pool projects and renovations. We'll visit your property, discuss your vision, assess the site, and provide a detailed estimate.
How do I get started?
The easiest way is to fill out our contact form or give us a call at (614) 421-7575. We'll schedule a convenient time to visit your property and begin the conversation about your dream pool.
What types of pools do you build?
We specialize in fiberglass and gunite (concrete) inground pools. Fiberglass pools offer faster installation and lower maintenance, while gunite pools allow for fully custom shapes and sizes. We help you choose the best option for your needs.
02

Installation

How long does it take to build a pool?
Fiberglass pools typically take 2-4 weeks from excavation to completion. Gunite pools take 8-12 weeks depending on complexity, weather, and permitting timelines. We provide a detailed schedule during your design consultation.
What is the pool installation process?
Our process follows six key phases: consultation and site assessment, custom design and permitting, excavation and shell installation, plumbing and equipment, decking and finishing, and finally fill-up, start-up, and owner training.
Do you handle permits?
Yes, we handle the entire permitting process for you, including building permits, site plans, fence compliance, and all required inspections. This is included in every installation project.
Can you build a pool on a sloped yard?
Yes. Sloped or hilly yards often make for the most dramatic pool installations. We have extensive experience with retaining walls, elevated decks, and infinity-edge designs that turn challenging terrain into a stunning feature.
What happens if it rains during construction?
Rain is a normal part of pool construction in Ohio. We plan for weather delays in our timeline. Minor rain rarely causes delays, but extended heavy rain can pause excavation and concrete work by a few days. We keep you informed of any schedule adjustments.
03

Maintenance

How often should I have my pool professionally serviced?
During swim season (May through September), we recommend weekly professional service for optimal water quality and equipment performance. In the off-season, monthly check-ins help prevent issues. We also recommend professional opening and closing services each year.
Do you service pools built by other companies?
Yes. We maintain and repair all types of inground pools regardless of the original builder — fiberglass, gunite, concrete, and vinyl liner pools. Our technicians have experience with all major manufacturers and construction methods.
What does weekly pool maintenance include?
Our weekly service includes water chemistry testing and balancing, skimming debris, brushing walls and tile, vacuuming the pool floor, cleaning skimmer and pump baskets, inspecting equipment operation, and a detailed service report.
When should I open and close my pool?
In Central Ohio, we recommend opening your pool in late April to early May when temperatures consistently reach the 70s, and closing in mid-to-late October when water temperatures drop below 65 degrees. Timing depends on weather patterns each year.

Cost & Financing

How much does a new pool cost?
Pool costs vary based on type, size, features, and site conditions. Fiberglass pools typically range from $45,000 to $85,000 fully installed. Gunite pools range from $60,000 to $120,000 or more. We provide transparent, itemized quotes with no hidden fees during your free consultation.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we offer flexible financing options to help make your pool project affordable. We work with trusted lending partners to provide competitive rates and terms. Visit our financing page or ask during your consultation for details.
What affects the price of a pool?
Key factors include pool type (fiberglass vs. gunite), size and depth, site conditions (access, soil, slope), features (heater, salt system, lighting, automation), decking material and area, and any landscaping or hardscaping additions.
Are there ongoing costs after the pool is built?
Yes, pool ownership involves ongoing costs including water and electricity, chemicals, equipment maintenance, and seasonal opening/closing. Budget approximately $150-$300 per month during swim season for utilities and chemicals, or less with a professional maintenance plan that optimizes chemical usage.
